Know what counts.
Search 4,760 distinct NBA athletes on all 485 certified puzzles. Every published clue is checked against the entire searchable catalog. Data is frozen through 2024–25; the catalog does not claim to include every NBA player.
Every clue has one rule.
- Awards: won League MVP, Finals MVP, Defensive Player, Rookie, Sixth Man, Most Improved or All-Star Game MVP through 2025.
- Award for a team: the team listed with the award in that season. Simply playing for the team does not qualify. Historical team names are separate.
- Award eras: use the season-ending year, not the player’s career dates.
- All-Star: official selections, including injury replacements and players selected but unable to participate. Each year counts once, including special formats; the cancelled 1999 game does not count.
- First overall pick: No. 1 in the NBA/BAA draft. Territorial selections are separate and do not count as No. 1. The complete 1947–2025 list is reconciled to the searchable catalog.
A player with zero matches remains searchable and selectable. No connection on this board is a verified negative. We infer negatives only from complete positive lists with reconciled player identities.

Played-for-team clues, career-season and team-count thresholds, second-round draft picks and college clues are unavailable for new rounds because their evidence is incomplete across the full catalog. Birth country, positions, championships and Clutch Player of the Year are not enabled. No missing fact is scored as a negative.
Sources & attribution
Adapted from pinned English Wikipedia award histories, the list of NBA All-Stars and the list of first overall NBA draft picks, by Wikipedia contributors, under Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0. Clutch Six filtered the records by season, reconciled identities and generated deterministic eligibility indexes. The adapted data is offered under the same license; this is not a blanket license for other website assets. Source links appear with matching answers in clue details.

What has been checked?
The release checks 218,960 player–predicate combinations: 46 certified predicates × 4,760 players, with zero unresolved answers. The complete positive tables contain 407 award events and 1,821 All-Star selections. All 485 boards have an exact-cover solution; some retained boards can be solved with fewer than three players. The build rejects incomplete clues, missing evidence manifests, stale indexes and invalid calendars.
These checks establish completeness against the pinned sources, not an independent factual guarantee. Use Report a data issue below the board to copy player IDs, clue evaluations and the data version with your correction. Reports are not automatically sent. Exceptional integrity errors disable the board and store a technical diagnostic in this browser session.
Daily history & progress
The certified release replaces 400 unsafe Daily calendar slots deterministically, beginning with the preview’s versioned calendar. Daily #1 retains its six original clues. Completed historical results remain attached to their original board and data revision. Retired boards cannot start new rounds. New Daily Cards use a finite, versioned three-mode calendar from October 21, 2026 through January 18, 2027 and do not cycle; older results retain their original calendar. Difficulty labels are recalculated estimates, not measured human ratings.
Daily resets at midnight in America/New_York. The first submitted or forfeited attempt is final in this browser. A forfeit does not count as a completion or extend a streak. Unlimited is practice. Progress is stored in your browser, can be exported/imported, and does not automatically sync between devices. There is no verified leaderboard.

Football. The same six connections.
QB · RB/FB · WR · TE. Search 11,922 verified skill-position identities from historical roster records spanning 1920–2025. This is a broad historical catalog, not a claim of complete NFL history. Fullbacks retain their documented FB identity. Genuine recorded position changes are combined; a trick-play pass does not make a player a quarterback.
All three modes are available in Unlimited. The official NFL Daily launch date will be chosen after preview review. NBA’s Daily schedule and records are separate.
Exactly what counts
- Named awards: AP NFL MVP (1957–2025), AP Offensive Player of the Year (1972–2025), AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (1967–2025), and Super Bowl MVP (1966–2025 seasons). Tied winners count. Super Bowl dates are assigned to their football season, including the game played in 2026 for the 2025 season.
- NFL leaders: annual passing, rushing and receiving yards or touchdowns, 1932–2025. These six lists exclude pre-merger AFL and AAFC titles.
- NFL honor with a franchise: one of the ten named honors credited to that franchise. Signing, being rostered or simply appearing for the team does not qualify. The rule lists historical franchise names. Oilers belong with Titans; Texans are separate. Browns and Ravens are separate.
- Honor era: the season of a qualifying honor, not career dates.
- Season milestones: one regular season between 1999 and 2025. Passing, rushing and receiving are separate. Scrimmage yards = rushing + receiving. These are not career totals. A player whose career ended earlier may match historical honors and will not match a 1999–2025 milestone.
Played-for-team appearances, career totals, draft/undrafted, college, Pro Bowl, All-Pro, championship membership and position-negative clues are not enabled. Missing facts are not scored as false.

The underlying roster sources have gaps and occasional historical position/date conflicts. Sixty-two rows representing 52 names lacked a stable provider ID and birth date and could not be safely joined; these are listed in the internal coverage audit. Certain historical offensive ends needed separate reviewed position evidence. Players with no match on the current board remain searchable. Defense-only players, specialists and offensive linemen are outside this edition.
Season statistics use regular-season aggregate rows only. Missing rows are not blindly called zero: unattributed provider amounts are conservatively bounded against every enabled threshold. Tampa Bay’s official 2012 statistics confirm Mike Williams’s 996 receiving yards and resolve one otherwise ambiguous threshold. No source-page text, photos or logos are redistributed.
The release checks 763,008 player–predicate pairs: 64 enabled predicates × 11,922 players, with zero unresolved answers. The active pools contain 160 Today’s Six boards, 160 Saves and 117 Shortlists. Another 43 Shortlists are retained only for saved history after a stricter familiarity review. Zero unresolved answers means completeness against the pinned sources, not perfect facts or human-tested difficulty.

NBA and NFL have separate Six streaks, Daily Sweeps and practice histories. A Sweep needs accepted submissions in that sport’s three Daily modes; perfection is optional. Forfeits, archives and Unlimited do not count. Progress export includes both sports.
